Where to use it

Ask for reviews where customers already are

The best time to ask is right after a good experience. Put the link and QR code where that happens.

  • After a job or delivery

Send the link by email or text while the experience is still fresh. One tap opens the review box.

  • At the counter

Print the counter sign and put it by the till, on tables or in the waiting room.

  • On receipts and invoices

Add the QR code to receipts, invoices, packaging inserts and thank-you cards.

  • In your email signature

A short “Review us on Google” link under every email you send adds up over time.

  • On your website

Link to it from your contact page, order confirmation page or footer.

  • On social media

Post the social template and ask followers who’ve visited to share their experience.

FAQ

Google review link & QR code FAQ

What is a Google review link?

It’s a direct link that opens the “Write a review” box for your business on Google. Customers don’t have to search for you on Google Maps first, so more of them actually leave a review.

How do I find my Google review link?

Type your business name and city above, pick your business from the list, and copy the link. You can also get it from your Google Business Profile under “Ask for reviews”, but you need to be a manager of the profile for that.

How do I make a QR code for Google reviews?

Find your business above. The QR code is created instantly from your review link. Download it on its own as PNG or SVG, or pick a ready-made template like a counter sign, table tent, poster, business card, order insert or sticker.

What size should I print the QR code?

Keep the code at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide. For signs people scan from further away, make it about one tenth of the scanning distance, so a code scanned from 1 metre should be around 10 cm wide. The templates download at 300 dpi, ready to print.

Why can’t I find my business?

Your business needs a public Google Business Profile. Try adding your city or street to the search. If your profile was created recently, it can take a few days to show up.

Does the link or QR code expire?

No. The link uses your business’s Google Place ID, which stays the same as long as your Business Profile exists. The QR code points to that same link.

Is it free?

Yes. No sign-up, no credit card, and no watermark on the QR code or templates.

Can I ask for reviews in exchange for a discount?

No. Google doesn’t allow offering incentives for reviews or asking only happy customers to leave one. Ask every customer, and make it easy.
